IP Innovation L.L.C. and Technology Licensing Corporation (collectively, "Plaintiffs") have brought a patent-infringement action against Red Hat, Inc., and Novell, Inc., alleging infringement of U.S. Patent Numbers 5,072,412; 5,533,183; and 5,394,521. The patents concern a user interface that has multiple workspaces. The Plaintiffs' complaint identifies as accused products "Red Hat Linux system," the "Novell Suse Linux Enterprise Desktop," and the "Novell Suse Linux Enterprise Server."

The game takes control of a Virtual Machine and allows up
to five users to dial that machine to play the game. To initiate,
LOGON as any valid cms machine and type STRIKE ; this will cause the
the Strike module to be loaded and commence execution. The Strike
module does the following:
1) SPOOL 00d *
2) It then punches the IPL"able standalone operating system
3) SET ASSIST OFF, SET ECMODE OFF and goes into a wait.
Enter IPL 00c and Strike takes control of the machine and disconnects.
Then to play, up to 5 users may DIAL XXXXXX , where XXXXXX is the
name of the virtual machine containing the control program.
The video display simulates the radar screen of an aircraft, with
the plane always pointed in the forward position. The terrain
is displayed logically (being rotated with the aircraft attitude)
such that a small segment of the terrain is visable at all times.
